It’s a well-known and often-used training tool for prize fighters, track and field competitors, and football players, to name a few. It builds muscle, stamina, and is beneficial for the heart.
Far different than the garden variety ladder used around homes, this type of ladder is constructed of lightweight material, lies flat and is anchored to the ground by hooks. It’s used to improve speed, coordination, power and strength. Agility ladders can also be used as a warm-up tool.
A set of cones can be assembled in any desired pattern to practice weaving in an out. It’s an effective way to improve footwork and the ability to execute quick turns and pivots that are common on the lacrosse field.
Not to be confused with parachutes for skydiving, this type of parachute provides a level of resistance to build strength, stamina and endurance. The faster the individual runs, the greater the resistance level. Resistance parachutes are beneficial for individuals in sports that require explosive acceleration, stops and pivots.
A balance disk can be of particular benefit, but they’re not recommended for the very young. They’re best used by players that have a better level of control than beginners. The disks can enhance balance, stability and coordination. They aid in building core strength, are fun to use, and can be utilized in multiple ways.
