You use almost every muscle in your body when you’re swimming, making it an all-around great exercise option. It’s especially beneficial for those that are just starting out and those with joint problems as the water buoys you and lessens the effects of gravity. It also strengthens the heart and lungs.
Work Your Body
One of the keys to building stamina is not to become entrenched in a single routine. Alternate the exercise that you do. It ensures you’re working your entire body and will fight the greatest killer of exercise – a boring routine.
